A Feature Film and an Unparalleled Multimodal Project
Under the River 一團苦草 is a feature film directed by Simon Wu, written by Simon Wu, Yang Mo, and produced by Wenli He. Starring Simon Woo, Diana Deng and Yuki Wong. Yvette Qin as the assistant director, Yuan Sui as the director of photography, Zongao Yue as the graffer, Rona Wen as the production designer, Lucas Lin as the sound director, Zequn Liu as the director of post production and Wilson Liang as the music producer. Meanwhile, there is a multi-model project created by Simon Wu, Yang Mo and Rona Wen, supervised by Dr. Belle Ling, Ms. Maria Chaudhuri and Dr. Page Richards. And it was shown at GALA in Tai Kwun, Central, Hong Kong on May 2024, which was an experimental live theater show that included performances, installations, and a trailer of the film.

Dive 下潛
Dive is a behind-the-scenes documentary that follows the production process of ‘Under the River’, from the pre-production to the shooting site, to the post-production, with the main actors, crew members and other creators present. In addition to witnessing the birth of an art film, the documentary also takes a reporter’s perspective to look at the current state of movie production for the first time, and truly presents the world outside the camera.
